The new logo by Beetrootposted on 12/06/2013, 14:00
“The Double-Headed Eagle of the North” is one of the most recognizable emblems in Greek and international sports and has been inspiring athletes and fans of Pan-Thessaloniki Athletic Club of Constantinopolitans – Panthessalonikios Athlitikos Omilos Konstantinopoliton (PAOK) for more than 80 years, a reminder of the historic club’s deep roots.
Beetroot worked enthusiastically on the project of the new logo, respecting the history of this classic emblem, to redefine and advance it. Their purpose is to reflect the team’s position in modern sports and their determination to be a major player in upcoming years.
The wings and eyes were redesigned to enhance the eagle’s dynamic character. The club’s initials acquire their own identity with an angular, firm yet contemporary writing style and are crowned with the founding date, to underline the club’s passage through time.
The shield bearing the logo is redesigned. Along with the black line of authenticity, a golden line is added, as a reminder of the club’s roots in Byzantine Empire and of the prizes won in the past and to be won in the future.
