PAOK Under-17’s defeat PAS Giannina 1-0

It did not come easy, but PAOK’s Under-17 side came away from PAS Giannina on Saturday (19/10) with a narrow 1-0 after a gritty performance – a result which saw the team chalk up their seventh win in as many games and remain on top of Group B with 21 points, while PAS are second with 16 points.

19.10.2019

While it was not the most spectacular in terms of quality, it was full of passion and there were plenty of chances for both sides, with PAOK crucially managing to take one of theirs after 65 minutes thanks to Babouras.

That goal was enough to seal all three points for PAOK, whose next match is at home against Xanthi on November 9.

PAOK lineup:

Monastirlis, Kitsakis (58′ Tasiouras), Sinanai, Koulierakis, Manolioudis, Tsikos, Smyrlis (70′ Spirakos), Koutentakis, Babouras, Rumiantschev (50 ‘Kedikoglou), Spyridopoulos (70’ Zilos)
