Back to work and a friendly against Drama
Another international break is here and it offers an ideal opportunity for some to catch up on some physical, as well as psychological, rest. It’s also a good chance for others to put in further hard work, and both players and coaching staff rolled their sleeves up on Tuesday.
Tuesday’s (12.11) training at Nea Mesimvria was focused mainly on fitness through some specific drills and exercises. On Wednesday (13.11) PAOK will travel to Drama to play a friendly match against the local club, Doxa Dramas.
Fernando Varela and Jose Mauricio trained normally and are included in the squad that will make the trip to Drama, and both are expected to play a part in the game. Karol Swiderski sat out the training session and he will be rested for the match against Drama.
Leo Matos and Anderson Esiti have been granted leave for personal reasons, while Crespo, Biseswar and Misic have all been left out of the squad for the Drama match in order to be rested, as well as long-term injury victim Wernbloom.
The players who are not available for selection will train on Wednesday (13.11) at the Toumba.
Abel Ferreira has selected the following 18-man squad for the friendly match against Drama:
Papadopoulos, Zivkovic, Varela, Rodrigo, Tsiggaras, Vierinha, Mauricio, Pelkas, Stoch, Lamprou, Jaba, Akpom, Daiko, Tachatos, Kaloutsikidis, Salamouras, Panagiotou, Grosdis.
