Biseswar wins Fans’ Man of the Match award

Diego Biseswar came out on top in the paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App Fans’ Man of the Match vote for the match against Xanthi at the Toumba on Matchday 13 of the 2019-20 Super League.

15.12.2019

It was one of those nights when the ball simply did not want to go in the net. PAOK tried everything against Xanthi. There were shots on the woodwork, unbelievable missed chances, and goals ruled. Time was beginning to run out. However, the players never gave in and they were rewarded with two late goals to clinch the win.

The hero of the night was Diego Biseswar. The Dutchman started the match on the bench having failed to impress in his recent performances. But when Abel Ferreira saw that the clock was counting down he decided to give The Artist a chance to shine – and he was completely vindicated in his decision.

The Dikefalos tou Vorra midfielder paved the way for another three-point haul with the opening goal at the second attempt following Omar El Kaddouri’s assist, while Biseswar also laid on a goal for Crespo to make it 2-0.

In the voting for the Fans’ Man of the Match via paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App, Biseswar collected 56.75% of the votes to win the award.

In second place was Josip Misic, who produced yet another brilliant display, while Dimitris Pelkas, who was a constant threat in attack, was third.
