First goal and a first award for Lamprou
Lazaros Lamprou’s superb goal against OFI at the Toumba came out in top in the voting for the Regency Casino Best Goal for January.
Lazaros Lamproou opened his PAOK scoring account with a wonderful goal against OFI in the second leg of the Round of 16 tie in the Greek Cup at the Toumba.
The young winger picked up possession down by the corner flag and showed incredible skill to skip past two defenders, before surging into the penalty area and rifling the ball into the back of the net from a tight angle to open the scoring against the Cretans.
In the voting which took place via paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official Appm in association with Regency Casino, Lamprou’s memorable strike came out on top, winning 50,77% of the vote for January’s Best.
In second place was Diego Biseswar, who converted Josip Misic’s brilliant pass, while in third spot was Chuba Akpom, who also produced a clinical finish from another Misic assist. Both of those goals came in the same match – the 3-0 win over OFI in the first leg of the cup match in Heraklion.
