The summer is now behind us, the transfer window is closed, and all of the Greek clubs are gearing up for the much-anticipated start of the 2021-22 domestic season with the return of supporters to stadiums after a complete season with matches played behind closed doots due the pandemic.
PAOK’s first test will be at the Toumba Stadium against PAS Giannina and Razvan Lutsescu is preparing his team after the international break.
The Romanian coach is currently working on both improving the physical condition of his squad and the way that they can apply his tactical approach on the pitch, especially since there are three new faces who have joined before the transfer window closed.
On Tuesday (07.09) the training session program was mainly focused on certain pieces of tactics which were worked on through a series of exercises for build-up play from the defensive zone, and the overall attacking function of the team. Rodrigo continued to step up his training efforts geared to a gradual reintegration back into full training, while El Kaddouri and Ingason followed their respective individual training programs focused on recovery from injury.
On Wednesday (08.09), PAOK will train at 10:00 at Nea Mesimvria.
