PAOK’s «little» professionals
Having the talent is just the start. Before deciding on whether a gifted young footballer gets a professional contract with PAOK, there is a long period of time, hard work and training that needs to be overcome. Given all the parameters, and always looking at the investments that concern the future, in 2021 PAOK proceeded to reward several players with professional contracts, as well as the renewal of existing ones with several young players.
During 2021, PAOK offered professional contracts to nine «little ones», born in 2005, and which are valid until the summer of 2024. Those players are Spyros Angelidis (goalkeeper), Minas Vassiliadis (forward), Konstantinos Goumas (midfielder), Dimitris Kottas (defender), Nikos Deligiannis (defender), Konstantinos Kastidis (defender), Charalambos Georgiadis (defender), Taxiarchis Filon (defender), Alexandros Adam (forward). All of them are members of the Under-17 squad, but many of them have already appeared for the Under-19 side, while they are also all youth internationals.
As for those born in 2004, forward Nikos Spyrakos, defender Angelos Zilos, midfielder Viktor Rumiantsev and striker George Koulouris (already a member of the PAOK B squad) have committed themselves to the club until 2024.
On to the slightly older ones. Defender Vassilis Kitsakis (2003) signed a contract until 2024, as did defender Giannis Manolioudis (2003, another PAOK B player).
In the summer of 2021, PAOK B midfielder Vassilis Grosdis (2002) also extended his contract until 2023.
Finally, Kyriakos Giaxis (2001), a midfielder also from the PAOK B set-up, also renewed his contract until the summer of 2024.
