International call-ups and fixtures
Domestic and European club competitions are put on hold for the November international break, which is clearly a … welcome breather for some, but seven PAOK players have been called up by for important international obligations. Konstantelias, Koulierakis, A.Zivkovic, Despondov, Samatta, Kedziora and Tzimas are already with their national team squads.
Ioannis Konstantelias and Konstantinos Koulierakis are already in Athens for the friendly game against New Zealand on 17.11 at the «Georgios Kamaras Stadium» (19:00) and the official qualifying game against France on 21.11 at the OPAP Arena, at 21:45.
Andrija Živković and the Serbian national team play a friendly against Belgium on 15.11, while on 19.11 they welcome Bulgaria for whom Kiril Despodov will represent, for a EURO 2024 qualifying match. It is sure to be an interesting meeting…
Bulgaria, therefore, and Despodov face Hungary on 16.11 and Serbia on 19.11, while Tomas Kedziora, also a regular fixture in his national team, has two important qualifying games, one against the Czech Republic on 17.11 and with Latvia on 21.11.
Ali Samatta returns to the Tanzanian national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches. On 18.11 Tanzania face Nigeria and on 21.11 they play Morocco.
Panagiotis Panagiotou, Dimitris Tsopouroglou and Argyris Darelas have been called up again to the Greece Under-21 squad for the EURO 2025 qualifiers with the Faroe Islands (16.11.23) and Portugal (20.11.23). Both matches will be played in Tripoli at 16:00 local time.
Albania have called up Hermis Selimaj to their Under-21 squad for the EURO 2025 qualifiers against Romania (17.11) and Montenegro (21.11). However, the player has a minor injury and will not be joining up with his country’s squad.
Vassilis Gordeziani was another injured player called up to the Georgia Under-21 squad for the EURO 2025 qualifying match against North Macedonia on 16.11.23, but he will not join up with them after suffering an injury in PAOK B’s game against AEL.
Maximilian Sznaucner is already with the Polish Under-17 squad in Indonesia for the World Cup (10.11 to 02.12), where they have been drawn in a group with Argentina, Japan and Senegal.
The Greece Under-19 squad are participating in the qualifying phase of the EURO Under-19 Championship, with matches to be held in Antalya, Turkey from November 15 to 21, 2023. Taxiarchis Filon, Nikolaos Deligiannis, Dimitris Kottas, Konstantinos Kastidis, Konstantinos Goumas and Stefanos Tzimas were invited for the games against Belarus on 15.11, against Lithuania on 18.11 and against Turkey on 21.11.
