PAOK B win 1-0 in Kozani [with pictures]
An 83rd-minute goal scored by Goumas proved enough for PAOK B to defeat a dynamic Kozani side and claim an important away victory in their postponed game from Matchday 9 of Super League 2.
Looking more determined and finding routes to goal better in the first half hour, it was Kozani who almost monopolized the chances in that period. There were at least three dangerous goal attempts from the hosts, while PAOK B started to come into the match more around the 35th minute, mainly through the livley play of Darelas. He threatened in the 37th minute, while a few minutes after Vrakas‘ shot he also rattled the crossbar.
There was a change of «scenery» to some extent in the second 45 minutes with the Double-headed Eagle’s second string taking control of the match from the restart and looking more threatening, with Rumiantsev going close with a powerful shot. The hosts, however, looked dangerous on the counter-attack as well, working themselves into shooting positions on several occasions. On the other hand, however, Monastirlis managed to keep the home sie at bay, in part due to careless finishing and solid goalkeeper. Then came the crucial moment seven minutes from full-time. Kitsakis released Darelas with a forward pass, and he in turn found Goumas, who produced a nice piece of individual play to fire home to get the breakthrough. PAOK B managed to see out the remainder of the game to leave Kozani with three important points.
