- The 2-2 draw with Malmö in Sweden was PAOK’s third European game this season, and they have two wins and a draw so far in their Champions League qualifiers.
- The Double-headed Eagle have had five different goalscorers in the process, with Konstantinos Koulierakis fidning the net twice, while Ekong, Murg, Taison and Baba have one each.
- PAOK already have three matches under their belt, and the most they have had in the Champions League qualifiers to date came in the 2018-19 season, when the series was six matches during which they eliminated Basel, and Sparta Moscow and then were defeated by Benfica.

They eliminated Basel with a 2-1 win at the Toumba and in Switzerland (3-0), then they beat Spartak Moscow 3-2 in Thessaloniki and drew 0-0 in Russia. In the Playoffs they drew 1-1 in Portugal with Benfica and lost 4-1 at the Toumba.
- 2019-20 were the last time they were in Champions League qualifying, where they again found themselves in front of Ajax and after a 2-2 draw at the Toumba, they bowed out following a controversial 3-2 defeat in Holland.
- The last attempt was in the 2021-22 season, when due to Covid-19 they played single-leg knockout games at the Toumba against Besiktas (win and qualification by 3-1 result) and Benfica (win and qualification by 2-1 result), while in the Play Offs they were defeated twice by Krasnodar 2-1 and were eliminated.
