Ball circulation and transition game
Igor Tudor faces a challenge in trying to implement his own philosophy of play to PAOK players. Achieving that in just two weeks makes his task all the more harder. That is why the “Double-Headed Eagle” are training in higher intensity with each passing day.
The Croatian tactician, however, is determined to defy the odds and achieve that. He is working hard on a daily basis and his trainings consist of many tactical drills and physical condition exercises.
The coaching staff focuses mostly on tactical approach of the game, on the fast ball circulation with continuous game switches –as they practiced on Monday’s morning session.
PAOK players split into two groups and worked on their transition game and ball circulation under pressure. Maarten Martens didn’t participate in training, as he complained of Achilles tendon pains and stayed at the hotel for physiotherapy.
Sotiris Papagiannopoulos continued his specialized individual program, while Dimitris Konstantinidis dropped his recovery rhythm, as he felt his injured quadriceps sore, due to intense trainings.
