Greece\u2019s Independence Day unites Greeks everywhere around the world each year.<\/p>\n
On 25 March, Greek hearts fill with special joy, pride and excitement.<\/p>\n
On this very day, we remember the heroes of the revolution and their bravery, in the name of Greece\u2019s independence.<\/p>\n
On this day we consider once again the price these people had to pay \u2013the lives lost and destroyed, the injuries suffered, the persecutions\u2026 We keep the memory alive so that we never forget. We remember so that history doesn\u2019t repeat itself.<\/p>\n
Our heroic forefathers did everything in their power to free Greece. And freedom is the one basic value that shapes our mentality, becoming the foundation of the Greek state.<\/p>\n
It is our duty to preserve this freedom and protect our historic country from any form of dependence, during these complicated times for Greece. Therefore we are obligated to follow the path of creativity and unity with a higher purpose: to secure the progress and prosperity of Greek people.<\/p>\n
On this special day, I wish you from the bottom of my heart happiness, peace, kindness, harmony and security in the future.<\/p>\n
