The first play in contention is Ingi Ingason’s<\/strong> goal against Volos<\/strong>. The strike was the result of an excellent combination between Karol Swiderski<\/strong> and the Icelandic defender, the former flicking a headed assist from the front post position for his teammate to convert coming in behind. And with that play, Swarovski <\/strong>is the first contender for the award.<\/p>\n

The second play in contention did not actually yierld a goal, but it was one of the highlights of the season. Against OFI <\/strong>in Heraklion,<\/strong> Michael Krmencik<\/strong> denied the laws of physics to direct a header goalwards from Adelino Vieirinha’s <\/strong>center. Unfortunately the woodwork prevented what would have been a beautiful goal, but the Czech<\/strong> is still in the running for the prize here.<\/p>\n

Finally, our third contending play is the definition of team work. In the game against Panetolikos<\/strong> at the Toumba,<\/strong> the visitors created a lot of problems for the hosts with their pressing high up the pitch, but in the final minutes of the first half, PAOK<\/strong> managed to unlock their defender with a brilliant passing move that ended with Thomas Murg <\/strong>scoring. Andrija Zivkovic<\/strong> is the player who will be responsible for the play, as it was he who gave the Austrian midfielder the final assist with a superb, defence-splitting pass.<\/p>\n
