The celebration of International Children’s Book Day<\/strong> on April 2<\/strong> was established by the International Book Council for Youth (IBBY)<\/strong> in 1966, the birthday of the great Danish<\/strong> storyteller Hans Christian Andersen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Also on April 2, it is also World Autism Awareness Day<\/strong>, reminding everyone of the great responsibilities and moral obligation we have to support children around the world, in order to provide them with equal conditions for their participation in a fairer world.<\/p>\n

And on the occasion of these two very important celebratory days, and in the context of our cooperation with the ‘SYZOI’<\/strong> association, PAOK FC,<\/strong> through PAOK Action,<\/strong> decided to offer children’s books and stationery for the association’s educational programs and young children, plus gifts for those working at the facility.<\/p>\n

As part of the initiative, PAOK<\/strong> players Adrian Pereira<\/strong> and Nika Ninoua<\/strong> visited the SYZOI<\/strong> facilities, and took great pleasure in handing out books and other gifts to the children, with plenty of smiles to be seen among the happy faces.<\/p>\n

The aim of the initiative was to help in practice the work of SYZOI<\/strong>, creating a consistent cooperation.<\/p>\n

The SYZOI Parents Association of People with Vision imparements and disabilities <\/strong>(mental retardation, autism, neurological disorders, motor and sensory problems, etc.). From 2006<\/strong> until today, the organisation provides a vital service of support for children with disabilities in order to provide all of the conditions for a decent and quality way of life, development and education.<\/p>\n
