The derby preparations continue
Sunday’s (01.12) derby match against Olympiacos is fast approaching, and the players and staff have been stepping up their preparations accordingly in training.
The coaching team placed a major emphasis on the necessary tactical preparations so that the players are ready for the battle at the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium. Thursday’s (28.11) session was essentially a tactics tutorial focused on the key aspects of Sunday’s contest.
After the warm-up and some possession games, the players worked firstly on defensive situations and pressing, while at the end there was the traditional friendly match.
Leo Jaba continued his treatment following knee surgery with the medical staff, while Pontus Wernbloom continued his individual recovery program. Those are the only two players not at coach Abel Ferreira’s disposal for Sunday.
On Friday (29.11) PAOK will train at 10:30 at the club’s Nea Mesimvria training base.
