Gojko Cimirot joins PAOK

PAOK FC announce the signing of Gojko Cimirot from FK Sarajevo. The 22-year old international Bosnian midfielder signed a three-year deal with the “Double-Headed Eagle”.

17.08.2015

Gojko Cimirot started his professional career at FK Leotar, the club of his hometown Trebinje. He made his debut in the senior team, before his 18th birthday, in an encounter against Široki Brijeg.

After 47 encounters and 3 goals, Gojko waved goodbye to his brother, who is still at FK Leotar, and left for FK Sarajevo, where he established himself as one of the best players of the Bosnian Premier League.

Cimirot can feature in all positions of the midfield, a classic box-to-box midfielder.

His performances for FK Sarajevo in the league and the European Cups (he played against Atromitos FC) attracted the interest of several clubs. He also became an international for Bosnia and Herzegovina and earned the first cap on 16 November 2014 in the Euro 2016 qualifier against Israel.

Cimirot has picked the No 16 shirt of PAOK.
