Up next for PAOK: FC Spartak Trnava
PAOK will face FC Spartak Trnava in the UEFA Europa League 3rd qualifying round. The first leg will be held at Toumba Stadium on 30 July and the second in Slovakia on 6 August.
The Slovaks were superior to Linfield FC in Belfast and, despite falling behind 1-0 in the first half, they managed to turn the tie around and earn qualification. Lowry put the team from Northern Ireland ahead in the 34th minute, but the Trnava side reacted with two back-to-back goals after the interval. Sabo leveled the encounter in the 54th minutes and, six minutes later, Vojtuš sealed the comeback victory. Sabo made it 1-3 in the 88th minute. Bortel was sent off on a second bookable offence in minute 80 and will be absent from the first leg against PAOK.

After their 2-1 victory in the first leg, the Slovakian side progressed to the next round on a 5-2 aggregate and will meet the “Double-Headed Eagle” in the 3rd round of the competition.
