He came off the bench and boosted the attacking game of the “Double-Headed Eagle”. He was alo the one to seal PAOK’s win, netting the third goal with a flawless finish. Giannis Mystakidis spoke about the importance of this victory ahead of upcoming encounters:

«We came here for the three points and achieved our goal in the end. In the first half we were equalized, but came out determined after the interval and celebrated a much-needed victory. Hopefully we can continue on the same pace. We were a bit stressed after a long spell of negative results. We were a bit unlucky at first, but eventually we won and we are all happy. This victory will boost us for the remainder of the season. We have to work hard and get good results. All players are helpful, that’s why our coach fields us. I train hard and give it my best in order to improve. I want to dedicate this goal to my coach, to my teammates and to the fans –we need them by our side through thick and thin. The coach believes in me, I have become a better player and want to help my side get better results«.

Ergys Kace’s words were on the same wave length:

«Victory will definitely help, as we failed to do what we had to in previous encounters. We lost many points, but this win will boost our morale. Our bad spell was also due to low morale. In the first games of the season, we behaved differently, we played very well and knew what we were after. After our recent bad results, the team was affected. Thankfully we won today and that will boost our morale. Nerves are part of the game. In a game, pulse rate gets higher and overreacting can happen. Keita should have been dismissed earlier. The main point is that we won. The disappointment of the fans is understandable. But they need to support us in our bad spell, as they have been doing. It’s the same talk every season. But we need to do what we talk about and gradually lift the team higher. Only we players can turn this situation around«.

After leading PAOK’s defence once again, Stelios Malezas said:

«We recorded a much-needed victory after a long time, that will allow us to approach upcoming games with more confidence. Our performances have ups and downs, but failing to win for such a long time was definitely a factor during that spell. It may sound as an excuse, but we need to focus on what didn’t go well and address our lack of consistency. We started today’s game well. But we were bad for 30 minutes and didn’t perform as we could. We are a long way from the top of the standing, but our aim is to improve. Good football and victories will get us to the play-off zone. But we must improve first. There are no easy matches ahead. In encounters against theoretically weaker rivals, we didn’t play well and wasted several points. That’s why I insist that the game at Chania is far from easy«.
