Ball passing under pressure
Football is becoming faster, therefore players have less time to react and make the right calls on the pitch.
That can only be improved by daily training. Thursday’s session focused on such drills: ball possession and passing in reduced space, aiming to score against mini-goals while under pressure. Training was of high intensity, lasted for 90 minutes and there were custom-made exercises for every position on the pitch. The session concluded with a half-pitch training match.
Miguel Vítor trained normally without complaining of groin pains. Garry Rodrigues and Giannis Skondras also followed normal training, while Jairo participated in big part of the session.
Gojko Cimirot and Dimitris Chatziisaias continued their recovery program with physical condition drills on the pitch and a few ball exercises, while Dimitar Berbatov and Dimitris Konstantinidis remained in the gym for physiotherapy.
Friday’s training session will start at noon in Nea Mesimvria.
