Vladan Ivić’s press conference

Everything that Vladan Ivić said in his press conference after the encounter Olympiacos – PAOK, corresponding to Super League matchday 8.

24.10.2016

On his statement that PAOK lost three points on Sunday:

«The points were lost in the red card that Milivojević should have been shown in the first half, in the first goal that should have been disallowed on the offside rule… Furthermore, Botía should not only be shown a red card for that tackle he did, but also get a five-match ban. Tell me honestly, what would have happened if a player of PAOK had produced that tackle?”

On everything that happened between the players:

«Nothing happened between players. The first time we entered the tunnel, their coach started swearing. And afterwards, when I came out to speak to Novasports TV, he did the same thing”.

On PAOK’s numerous wasted opportunities:

«PAOK were definitely the best side today and deserved to win. Olympiacos had possession, but lacked substance. We had more clear-cut chances and played a solid game from minute one. We didn’t convert our many chances. Why didn’t we score more? There is no answer to that. We are trying to improve our finishing on a daily basis and I believe we will achieve it”.

On whether he felt any danger:

«Yes, I was afraid for Athanasiadis and Rodrigues, who suffered terrible tackles and could have been in the hospital right now. Their opponents should have been shown the red card”.

On what went on behind PAOK’s bench:

«I know that, when play was suspended, several objects were thrown towards us – maybe it’s on camera. Luckily I wasn’t hit. I can’t describe the situation exactly, because I wasn’t looking”.

On the last suspension of the game:

«Didn’t they say that the game will be abandoned if there is another suspension? What you are saying is not accurate… You saw some things with your own eyes but clearly they are of no importance to you”.
