«Still many matches ahead»
Here is what Vladan Ivić said in his press conference, after PAOK’s victory over PAS Giannina in Zosimades for matchday 17 of the Super League.
On the encounter in Zosimades:
«Our fans demand victory in every game. We did so. We knew beforehand how the pitch would be. It’s in unacceptable condition and has been so for a decade now. I can’t understand why they don’t do anything about it. There are other teams who get relegated or promoted from the 2nd division and have better home grounds. This pitch is dangerous for all players, both of the home and the away team. It’s in tragic condition. We won, we continue our effort. It’s a victory. We have still many matches ahead of us«.
On changes in players and tactics:
«I have 25 players at my disposal. They are working hard in trainings on a daily basis. Today we gave entrance to players who hadn’t featured in recent matches. That is a sign of a healthy team. Everyone knows what they have to do and give 100% for the team. I am very satisfied and we will keep up like this«.
On transfers:
«We are waiting… There is still a week ahead. I believe we will sign more players until the end of the transfer window«.
On who is responsible for the pitch condition in Zosimades:
«Don’t you know? I will let you say it«.
On the incident with the president of PAS Giannina:
«It’s unacceptable for a club president to threaten the rival players. Such things just can’t happen. We can’t have a club president come to our dressing rooms and insult us«.
