Gojko Cimirot conceded an interview to Novasports TV ahead of the encounter against AEP Iraklis for matchday 22 of Super League.
On PAOK completing their UEFA Europa League adventure:
«I believe we could have achieved more. That was obvious in our second leg against Schalke. We weren’t creative in the Toumba leg, but in Gelsenkirchen we proved we can perform well«.
On the conclusions after the elimination:
«We proved we can claim more and advance further next season. Our away performances against Fiorentina and Schalke are proof of that«.
On upcoming games:
«We need to be 100% focused. We must leave the UEFA Europa League behind us, work hard and do the best we can«.
On Cañas’s absence:
«That’s football. Alongside Cañas I feel more liberated and contribute more in our attacks. I can go higher up that when I am partnered with Shakhov, who is also attack-minded«.

«It’s a derby. We need to be very focused in such a game. Iraklis’s low place in the standings changes nothing. You never know what might happen«.
On what can decide a derby:
«This game doesn’t resemble the one against Veria. This is a city derby and that makes it special. We need to have passion and concentration, just like when we play against Olympiacos, Panathinaikos or AEK Athens«.
