«One game at a time»

Vladan Ivić spoke to Novasports TV ahead of the Super League encounter against Platanias. Here is what he said about his team’s condition, the importance of the Chania match, Giorgos Paraschos, as well as his message on the occasion of PAOK’s 91st anniversary.

21.04.2017

On the league break:

«We worked hard, as we always do, trying to prepare for upcoming games. There are still a few matches ahead until the end of the season and we take it one game at a time. Now we are focusing on the encounter against Platanias«.

On whether his side are getting affected by off-pitch developments:

«We are not focusing on that. Our job is to prepare for our matches. Since the beginning of the season, we have achieved some of our objectives. Now we need to keep our concentration and perform well, just like we did in most parts of the season«.

On his team’s condition:

«They are well. We have some problems, but we are heading towards the most important part of the season. We are all working hard and focusing on the job ahead«.

On the upcoming “finals” and whether he is preparing his troops simultaneously for the league match against Platanias and the Greek Cup second leg against Panathinaikos:

«We never do that. We always focus on the next encounter as the most important one. Right now, we only set our eyes on the Platanias game, in an effort to extend our winning streak in the league and get those three points. We know that we are up for a tough match against a team who could have easily made it to the top five. They have the best coach of the last two seasons and are placed sixth for a second consecutive season«.

On PAOK’s anniversary:

«Above all, PAOK are a big family. Many important people have been a part of their brilliant 91-year old history. I believe that the players who joined us this season have realized what being PAOK means. All of us work hard in order to improve the team and make everybody feel proud«.
