«Nothing less than the three points»
Efthymis Koulouris spoke to Novasports TV ahead of Sunday’s encounter against AOK Kerkyra. Read on paokfc.gr what the young striker said about qualification at the expense of Panathinaikos, the Greek Cup final and the last encounter of the Super League regular season.
On qualifying over Panathinaikos:
«We put on a great performance in a crucial encounter. We wanted to qualify. We didn’t play as we should in the first leg, but showed our strength in our home ground. We really want to win this final«.
On how he experienced the game:
«When not on the pitch, everything seems tougher. I was very stressed. I believe that it was a beautiful evening for all of us, as everything went as we wished. We hold on to that evening, but we want to experience another great one, next Saturday«.
On the importance of qualification to the Greek Cup final:
«It means a lot for sure. But the most important thing is to bring the trophy to Thessaloniki«.
On his thoughts regarding the final:
«We want to enjoy the trophy. First, we need to win on Sunday and then focus on the final. It’s a trophy, it’s a very important occasion. A day that could mark a change in PAOK’s history«.
On the encounter against AOK Kerkyra:
«We had a fine run in the league. Let’s not forget that we started with a three-point deduction. It’s only normal that we underperformed in some matches, but in general our displays were very good. Now we need to combine victory with a fine performance and wrap up ideally the regular season of the Super League«.
On their next rival:
«All year long, AOK Kerkyra have proved that they have a very good team. They changed coaches recently. In my opinion, they will visit Toumba wanting to seal their season in the best possible way. But we are PAOK, we are a big club and we can’t ask for anything less than the three points out of this encounter«.
