Two finals before the end

The players have already 56 official matches behind them. There are only two left before a long and intense season ends. These two tough encounters will decide which European competition PAOK will participate in.

The “Double-Headed Eagle” finished second in the regular season and now they are still ahead of the remaining play-off participants. On Sunday they face AEK Athens in the Olympic Stadium, in a challenging encounter that might prove decisive for the final standings.

PAOK players were split in two groups in Thursday’s training. Those who started the Nea Smyrni encounter remained in the gym and did decompression and recuperation work. The rest worked on their tactics, ball passing and finishing. Fernando Varela, Giannis Mystakidis, the only absentees through injury, continue their physiotherapy programs.

Friday’s training session is scheduled to start at 18:00 in Toumba Stadium.
