PAOK: The Return…

It was in early March when our everyday lives as we knew them were put on pause. All of us were forced to make a shift inwards, and to discover new ways of working and even rediscover ourselves. Now we’re called upon to make the move back into our society, a new normal. And we need to do this with the utmost care so we can all leave the ‘invisible’ threat to our health behind us.

Within this context, and following the relevant guidance from the state, PAOK is preparing to press «play» again and get back on the pitch. Carefully, gradually and in fully-controlled conditions for the health of the players, officials and stakeholders who work with them.

On Monday (04.05) all the players and the technical staff will undergo tests for Covid-19, while on Tuesday (05.05), the rest of the members of the club’s football department will follow the same procedure, so that as soon as the results come out – most likely on Wednesday – PAOK will start training again.

The players will be divided into small groups and will strictly follow the security protocol that has been set, while only those stakeholders who are absolutely necessary will work with the players in order to ensure smooth operations.

Jose Angel Crespo, who is the only player outside of Greece, has decided to stay in Spain at the moment in order to continue his recovery program, while at the same time, PAOK continues to plan the best possible solution for his fast and safe return to Thessaloniki.
