While there may be no chances of progressing to the knockout stage, a European match represents an enticing challenge both for PAOK and Greek football. And so the Double-headed Eagle squad are gearing up for the upcoming clash with , the Spaniards at the Toumba.

Tuesday’s (08.12) training started with some fitness work, including running drills and rondo. After that, the players were split into two groups. As the first group worked on finishing on half of a pitch, the other group worked on the tactical approach for Thursday’s game.

Andre Vieirinha followed his individual training program on the practice pitch, while Rodrigo Soares received further treatment on his left arm which is giving him some trouble. Enea Mihaj is in Italy where he is continuing the first stage of his rehabilitation program following knee surgery. Out of contention for Thursday (10.12) is Dimitris Giannoulis, who is suspended.

On Wednesday (09.12) the PAOK players will train at 11:30 in Nea Mesimvria, while there will be a pre-match press conference via a conference call at 14:30 from the Toumba, with Pablo Garcia and one player answering questions from the media.
