Sznaucer: «The newcomers will help us»
Miroslav Sznaucner shared his thoughts and insights on the upcoming Super League Interwetten Matchday 15 clash against Atromitos to the Novasports cameras. Read what the Pole said on paokfc.gr.
On the match at the Alcazar:
«We’ve done our analysis, and we’ve talked to the players. In the first half of the game we were quite dangerous for our opponents. We created chances, but we didn’t get the goal. Our final passes were good. We knew that Larissa were looking for an opportunity to score on the break and unfortunately from our own mistakes we found ourselves a goal behind. We fought until the end, though, and we equalized in the fifth minute of added time, but we weren’t happy at all. We are a much better team than Larissa, but we did not win the match and it hurts us that we lost these two points.»
On the game against Atromitos:
«We play again tomorrow, and this is good. We do not have time to dwell too much on the game and result against Larissa, the next game is coming soon, so we have the opportunity to change our mentality and return to victories.»
On what he expects from the game:
«We do not care what Atromitos is looking for. We are looking only at our team. We want the three points. It will be a difficult game. We are ready, the team is in good shape and we are going there to win.»
On the incoming transfers and how much easier they make life for the coaching team:
«We have brought in three players, and they will help us a lot. They will give us options. Everyone is ready. We are happy to have them with us.»
On Michael Krmenčík and the reasons PAOK decided to sign him:
«He is a player who scores goals. We and our scouts have seen it while we were watching him. He is fast, he fights for the team, he plays to win and he will help us a lot.»
On Colak and whether or not the arrival of the Czech striker will push him closer to the exit door at PAOK:
«At the moment we have three center forwards. It is clear to us. The best of them will play. Whoever it is out of those three will play. We are happy to have different options in the striker position. We will see. I hope that everyone plays so well that we do not know who to choose .»
On the situation with Warda, and if he can play in Peristeri:
«He is tired, he played 90 minutes on Monday. We will have him with us though. He will probably not be in the starting line-up, but he will be an option for us for tomorrow’s game.»
On whether Rodrigo is ready for Atromitos:
«He has worked even harder. In the previous game we did not have him with us, as he lacked training time. He has worked really hard for several days, and so he is also an option for us in the right-back position.»
