- PAOK have met Lamia only twice in the Greek Cup and on both occasions the Fthiotida club were in the second tier.
- The first meeting came in the 1971-72 season when they met in the semi-finals, with Lamia then being the first team in the second division to reach that stage of the competition.
- On June 28 1972 the semi-final was a one-legged tie played at the Toumba, and the Double-headed Eagle won 2-0 thanks to goals from Sarafis (48’) and Apostolidis (56’).
- On February 6 1985 the teams met for the second time in the Round of 16, and PAOK progressed thanks to a comfortable 6-0 win at the Toumba in a match when the goalscorers were Papritsas (2), Dimopoulos (2), Damanakis, and Iordanidis.
- In the return match, which until now is the only other cup tie that was held in Lamia between the two sides, PAOK won 9-1. Lentas scored Lamia’s only goal from the penalty spot, while for the Double-headed Eagle the goals were scored by Vasilakos (3), Mavromatis (2), Iordanidis (2) Papritsas, and Iosifidis. Lamia were forced to play with 10 men from the 32nd minute due to Kalenteroglou’s sending off.
- That goal is the only strike Lamia have registered against PAOK, since in seven league matches from the 2017-18 season when they have been in the Super League, Lamia have lost all seven both home and away without scoring a single goal.
- Overall, there have been 10 matches in both league and cup between PAOK and Lamia, with the Double-headed Eagle winning all of them.
