  • Lamia were the first team from the second tier to reach the semi-finals of the competition, when on June 28, 1972 they were defeated 2-0 in the only semi-final held at the Toumba. Sarafis (48′) and Apostolidis (56′) scored the goals that decided the match.
  • The next time the draw brought them together was in the 1984-85 season in the Round of 16 stage. PAOK prevailed 6-0 at the Toumba with goals from Papritsas (2), Dimopoulos (2), Damanakis, and Iordanidis. The second leg ended 9-1 in favor of the Double-headed Eagle. Lentas scored the only goal for Lamia from the penalty spot, while Vasilakos (3), Mavromatis (2), Iordanidis (2) Papritsas, and Iosifidis scored for PAOK. • In the first leg match in this season’s Greek Cup quarter-final, however, they managed to find the net twice in a 5-2 defeat.
  • In that match, Christos Tzolis scored two goals and became the first PAOK player to score at least five goals in a season in all competitions in which the team are taking part in. At the same time, he also managed to score in the championship match between the two teams that followed, and so as a result he has found the net in the last three games against Lamia.
