On his key takeaways from PAOK’s last two games in Athens:

«From the match aginst Panathinaikos we keep only the general performance which was good, but unfortunately we did not have luck on our side and we lost. Against AEK the key point was that the team showed improvements in defence, and we claimed a great win which gave us the advantage in the battle to reach the final.»

On Murg’s goal and how much it has helped lift spirits:

«It helped show the character of the team, that despite the fact that we did not play the best we can, we still got what we wanted. We chased the goal and thanks to the quality of Murg, who works hard and in training on free-kicks, we achieved what is important for us in all areas.»

On his own presence in the team after being out of Garcia’s main starting choices:

«I feel very good. All of us players want to play. I did everything I could in training to win a place and play. I took the opportunity. I am doing well and I have to keep working even harder and focused to help the team achieve our goals.»

On the game with Asteras Tripolis, how he expects it to be:

«All the games are important until the final game of the season. Everything is ‘key’ in games now, we are in the final straight and we have to play our game, win, and get the points that will bring us closer to our goal.»

On the speeches from Ivan Savvidis and Pablo Garcia, and how important these are for the psychology of the team:

«Both are important. Mr. Savvidis’ speech encouraged us, he spoke to us in a friendly way, he gave us the right motivation to go into the semi-final tie with a different mentality. At the end of the game the coach then spoke to us and showed that all of the players are pieces of the whole, whether you play a lot or not, everyone has a share in what we build. Such things are the kinds of initiatives that help bring harmony to the entire squad, and we have to keep working hard because we have not achieved anything yet, but we are close to doing it.»
