Tactics in the spotlight
From the very first few days of the pre-season, Razvan Lucescu and his associates have been trying to pass on their own unique playing philosophy to the players. As a result, tactics are taking up the majority of the training program these days.
The morning training was mostly about passing, with the focus on build-up play, followed by some finishing drills including combinations.
In the afternoon, tactics were at the forefront. After a special lesson from the coaches, the players then played a mini-tournament on a downsized pitch.
Alexandros Paschalakis returned from his leave and joined the team’s training program.
Douglas Augusto, after discussions and permission from the coach, will leave to join the Brazilian Olympic team for the Tokyo Olympics. The midfielder will return to Greece with the completion of the Selecao’s competitive obligations.
On Tuesday (06.07) there will be another double training day with sessions again at 09:00 and 19:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
