Build-up play, goals, and fitness
One of Razvan Lucescu’s key football principles is balance. At the beginning of the season, the technical staff has created a program that balances between tactics and physical fitness, in order for the team to be as ready as possible at the beginning of their competitive obligations, and of course to lay solid foundations to last throughout the season.
Wednesday’s training session (07.07) was full of hard work. Initially the program started with a warm-up during which the players performed a series of exercises with and without the ball.
The squad was then divided into two groups. While one group worked on the tactical part with an emphasis on ball movement and development, the other practiced finishing through combination play.
In the final part of the program, a 4-Vs-4 tournament was held, which mainly concerned the fitness conditioning of the players and was of high intensity.
On Thursday (08.07) there will be two training sessions scheduled at 09:00 and at 19:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
