The squad for Gibraltar

The game against PAS Giannina now belongs in the past. The PAOK squad will take the lessons learned from it and they continue the marathon of fixtures on the horizon. The next mission, is in Gibraltar. PAOK travel there for the club’s opening group stage match of the UEFA Europa Conference League to face Lincoln.

Tuesday’s (14.09) training session was dedicated to the tactical approach of the upcoming European match, through various exercises and games in restricted spaces.

The players who were in the starting lineup against PAS Giannina particiapted in part of the full program, before breaking off to do recovery and rehab work.

Omar El Kaddouri continued his treatment program and Ingi Ingason did some individual work on the training pitches and in the gym.

Douglas Augusto felt some discomfort in his stomach muscles and remained behind in Nea Mesimvria to work intensively with coach Mateo Spatafora, as well as Andrija Zivkovic, who returned to training.

At the end of the training session, the following list of the 22 players that will travel to Gibraltar was announced:

Paschalakis, Zivkovic, Balomenos, Taylor, Lyratzis, Varela, Crespo, Mihaj, Michailidis, Vieirinha, Sidcley, Esiti, Tsingaras, Kurtic, Schwab, Biseswar, Konstantelias, Murg, Mitrita, Swiderski, Akpom, Koutsias.

PAOK depart for Gibraltar on Tuesday (14.09) afternoon from Macedonia Airport. On Wednesday (15.09) the Double-headed Eagle will train at 19:45 at Victoria Stadium, while earlier Razvan Lucescu and a representative of the players will give the pre-match press conference at 19:10. The training session will be open to media representatives only for the first 15 minutes.
