Attention turns to PAS Giannina
Despite falling behind in the match against Lamia at the Toumba, PAOK turned things around and returned to winning ways, and the club is now keen on keeping that momentum going. The next opponents standing in the way are PAS Giannina, with the preparations beginning in earnest on Monday (13.12) morning in Nea Mesimvria.
The players who were in the starting lineup against Lamia remained in the gym and followed a recovery and rehabilitation program. The rest of the squad went out ontro the training pitches for a dynamic session that started with a warm-up, continued with possession games in limited spaces, which was followed by some work on tactics. In the final part of the session there was emphasis placed on the team’s defensive play thorugh a series of special exercises.
Alexandru Mitrita trained normally with the main group. Andre Vieirinha followed his individual program, as did Nelson Oliveira, while Omar El Kaddouri and Lucas Taylor underwent treatment.
In the match against Lamia, Giannis Michailidis and Andrija Zivkovic collected their fourth yellow cards and will miss the matches with PAS Giannina and Panetolikos respectively.
On Tuesday (14.12) PAOK will train at 10:30 at the Toumba before departing by coach in the afternoon to Ioannina.
