Anticipation for the restart
The first opportunity was lost. As was the second. PAOK are hoping that it will be third time lucky and that they will take to the field at the Toumba to play in their first match of 2022 against Panetolikos. The squad have been preparing as normal and concluded their preparation work for the game on Tuesday.
On Tuesday (11.01) morning at training the scene was an extremely wintery one. In something like Ukrainian conditions (or even worse) Jose Boto was in attendance. Amid the characteristic rainy conditions in Nea Mesimvria, Razvan Lucescu and his players completed their final dress rehearsal for the upcoming match with Panetolikos.
It was a rehearsal that was dedicated to the tactical approach that the team will take, as well as static phases. Omar El Kaddouri continued running on the pitch and Nelson Oliveira did a fitness program in the gym.
The suspended Andrija Zivkovic and Chuba Akpom will not be available for the match at the Toumba (12.01, 17:15).
