A strong test against Panserraikos

PAOK’s coaching staff carried out some useful experiments in a useful training friendly workout against Panserraikos at the Toumba Stadium on Sunday, with the game ending all-square at 1-1.

Razvan Lucescu and his associates gave playing time to a lot of players who did not get enough minutes under their belts in the official games to date, and carried out some experiements before the upcoming derby against Panathinaikos at the Toumba Stadium.

The game had intensity, high tempo and some dynamic duels all over the pitch with the scores locked at 1-1 at the final whistle.

The visitors took the lead in the 18th minute through Ahmed Said, with PAOK almost levelling matters shaortly after through Quagliata. The Uruguayan had two more good moments in the first half without being able to score, while the Double-headed Eagle also fashioned more chances, but again without being able to find an equalizer and the teams went into half-time with PAOK 1-0 behind.

In the second half, the visitors surrendered space to PAOK as the hosts pished forward, with Lucescu’s team having more possession, creating chances and finally equalizing in added time through Narey after an assist by Oliveira.

Brandon Thomas felt some discomfort in his thigh and was substituted. The Spaniard will undergo an MRI on Monday (26.09).
