Passing game and attacking tactics
The international players are slowly returning to Nea Mesimvria, training has picked up tempo, and PAOK has officially entered “derby week”. The squad and coaching staff rolled up their sleeves and started their preparation for the big upcoming match against Panathinaikos.
Dantas, Konstantelias and Panagiotou returned and trained with the rest of the group, while Razvan Lucescu is still waiting for the rest of the internationals to return so he can start working with the whole group and prepare the team for the upcoming top-of-the-table derby clash.
The training session on Tuesday (27.09) was dedicated to attacking tactics, through some special exercises and games, while the emphasis was also placed on the teams’s passing game and the circulation of the ball. In the last part, there was the traditional mini-friendly duel.
Andre Vieirinha followed the team’s regular program, while Lefteris Lyratzis also completed most of it. Brandon Thomas received some treatment, while Giannis Michailidis worked on the practice pitches individually.
On Wednesday (28.09) PAOK will train again at 18:00 in Nea Mesimvria.
