Focused on the derby
The countdown is ticking down for the big derby in Piraeus with the PAOK players and coaching staff working hard to be ready for the battle against Olympiacos.
Thursday (13.10) was a day for tactics. After the usual warm-up, the players then played some possession games within limited spaces and then dealt with build-up play and transitions through various drills and a mini-friendly.
Douglas Augusto and Konstantinos Koulierakis trained normally with the team, Brandon Thomas started some running out on the pitch, Giannis Michailidis did an individual program, while Andre Vieirinha had some physiotherapy and did a program in the swimming pool.
The squad were out on the training pitches when they were informed of the news about the death of Stavros Sarafis, and as a minimal tribute there was a minute’s silence held in memory of «Caesar».
On Friday (14.10) PAOK will be back at the Nea Mesimvria training ground at 10:30.
