Three months ago, Giannis Mystakidis was fighting in the second-tier. Nowadays he experienced PAOK’s qualification to the UEFA Europa League group stage and was called to Greece’s U21 squad. He spoke about all these new experiences to Novasports TV on the occasion of the match against PAS Giannina.
Here is what the young player had to say.
His initial statement:
«We went through six qualifying matches, focused on each one of them and managed to qualify to the UEFA Europa League group stage. It is very important that we didn’t lose in Denmark«.
On the group stage draw:
«I don’t want to say anything for this draw. We will approach each match separately«.
On his journey with PAOK so far:
«Everything is going well. I just learned that I have been called to the Greece U21s and I feel honoured and happy about it. I intend to improve on a daily basis through our work. This has been the top month of my career«.
On the incident during the Veria friendly:
«It was a lesson for me and that is how I approach it. I believe that in the future I will be thanking this man for his stance, because I had to act more as a team player«.
On the encounter against PAS Giannina:
«We are travelling to Giannina to win and I believe we will achieve it«.
