«Focused and totally ready»
Garry Rodrigues, MVP of matchday 8, collected his award in Makedonia Palace just before the team left for Tripolis. The Cape Verde winger met with media representatives who attended the event and here is what he said.
On whether he feels vindicated for his choice to join PAOK and about the team’s performances so far:
«I am very happy here. It’s an honour to play for PAOK and I want to prove to everybody that I deserved to be in their ranks. I believe we should have been higher up the ranks, but the league isn’t over in just 7-8 matchdays. We have a long way ahead to prove our worth on the pitch«.
On his form:
«Everyone around me showed me affection from the first day. I am not worried for my performances, I feel really good«.
On the encounter against Asteras Tripolis:
«I know they are a good team and very strong at home. Each match is difficult, each match is different. We are focused and totally ready for the match«.
