Looking for a morale-boosting victory
PAOK’s display on Thursday was improved, reminiscent of their games early in the season, but they couldn’t secure a positive result. Igor Tudor is troubled but not overly concerned, as he got several positive messages out of his players’ performance.
Just a few hours after their draw against Qäbäla FC, PAOK kicked off preparations for the encounter against AEL Kalloni. They focused on the same style of play, emphasizing more on the attacking aspect and their finishing, that has left much to be desired in recent games.
The players who started Thursday’s game did recuperation and decompression work. Stelios Kitsiou complained of iliopsoas muscle pains after the match and will undergo tests to determine the nature of his problem. Dimitar Berbatov will also do tests, as he has a sore calf.
Saturday’s session is scheduled to begin at 12.00 in the training centre of Nea Mesimvria.
