Berbatov and Kitsiou sidelined
The medical report of Saturday wasn’t very good. Berbatov and Kitsiou have been ruled out of upcoming encounters after undergoing medical tests.
The Bulgarian forward suffered a 2nd-degree strain in the calf and will be sidelined for 2-3 weeks, while the Greek defender sustained a 2nd-degree strain in the iliopsoas muscle and he is expected to remain out of action for three weeks.
Both players did physiotherapy on Saturday and didn’t participate in the training session. Christos Charisis and Miguel Vítor followed their respective personalized programs.
The remaining players did mainly decompression and recuperation work, along with physical condition exercises and technique drills.
Sunday’s training session will start at Nea Mesimvria at 15.00. Afterwards the squad will travel to Mytilini for Monday’s match against AEL Kalloni.
