«Achieve our goals with our fans’ help»
Giannis Mystakidis spoke to Novasports TV about the upcoming match against Veria and the team’s current form. Here is what the young player of the “Double-Headed Eagle” said:
On what the team has gained from their recent victories:
«We approach each game separately. Our aim this season is to win the Greek Cup and claim second place in the Super League –we are well positioned for both. We are constantly trying to improve. Our fans stand by our side and haven’t left us alone for a minute –we are grateful for it. I believe that finally we will celebrate something good with this team«.
On how players handle back-to-back games:
«On a personal level, I am starting in some matches and come off the bench in others. It’s my first season at the highest level and it’s physically demanding. We work on a daily basis with our coaches and physical trainers. It’s very tough, but that’s professional football. We are all putting on a big effort and hopefully, as I said, we will achieve our goals«.
On featuring at left back:
«It’s a new position for me. I stepped on the pitch to help the team win qualification. I don’t mind featuring in any place my coach tells me to. It’s all clear in my mind. I want to play and help my team win. I was glad to provide the assist and I will give my 100% in any position used«.
On the encounter against Veria:
«I expect us to continue playing good football. We also want to see Toumba packed and we will win with the fans on our side. Veria are a good team and there are two good friends playing there on loan from PAOK. I wish them to achieve their goals«.
