Injury problems ahead of visit to Nea Smyrni
PAOK wrapped up preparations for their Greek Cup encounter against Panionios with their last training session in Athens.
The Croatian coach worked on tactics, testing his system for the Nea Smyrni match and adjusting his plans after the injuries sustained in the encounter against AEK Athens.
Μiguel Vítor and Stelios Kitsiou , who complained of pains in the sciatic nerve and the costal bone respectively, underwent medical tests that came out clear, however they will not be available for Wednesday’s match. The Portuguese defender followed a special decompression program, while Kitsiou tried to train normally, but was forced to withdraw because of pain in the affected area.
Charis Charisis did an MRI that revealed a superficial strain in the left quadriceps. After the team return to Thessaloniki, the player will be submitted to more medical tests in order to access his situation and determine his training schedule.
