Panthrakikos – PAOK: Mixed zone
Dimitris Chatziisaias and Terry Antonis spoke to media representatives in the mixed zone of Komotini Municipal Stadium, after the final whistle of the encounter against Panthrakikos. Here is what they said:
Dimitris Chatziisaias couldn’t enjoy his maiden goal for PAOK, but showed his determination regarding the future:
On his thoughts about the encounter against Panthrakikos:
«I am happy for the goal I scored, but unfortunately we weren’t able to get what we wanted out of the game. We didn’t start well, but managed to net the opener. We failed to hold on to our lead and didn’t get anything out of the encounter«.
On everything that preceded the Komotini game:
«PAOK are a big club and I don’t believe we were affected by that. It might appear of course that we did, given the fact that we lost. We didn’t perform well and were defeated. We need to keep up and achieve our goals in the play-offs«.
On the play that led to Panthrakikos’s equalizer:
«It was a defensive slip-up. We need to leave all that behind us though and focus on the Panetolikos game«.
On PAOK’s young squad:
«All of us young players must work hard, improve constantly to lead PAOK where they deserve to be«.
Terry Antonis couldn’t pinpoint the reasons for PAOK’s defeat:
«We had several opportunities to score. We were better, but failed to claim the three points. Now we must focus on the upcoming game, a must-win game. It’s difficult to explain why we lost today. I believe however that we can finish among the top teams«.
