On his differences with player Ivić:
«There might be several differences, but I haven’t changed much regarding my professional approach to the game. As a player, I always strived to give everything to the team and I would focus on one game at a time. I do the same now. These two jobs are very different. As a coach, one must have more things on his mind than a player. That’s why I have changed my way of thinking. I deal differently with people and situations. I try to get 100% out of every player, talk with them separately, explain them their assets and what they must improve. When I was a player, I didn’t believe so much in the importance of training. I was wrong. Now, being a coach, I understand differently and I try to convey that to the guys».
On his coaching experiences:
«I have two years of experience –and that is important. At first, I was a bit confused, trying to leave my player’s mentality aside, but now I have improved on that. I look at football differently. Meanwhile, I make it a point of talking to people more experienced than me, whose opinion I trust, and I gain much from them. But I leave the deciding to me. Whatever they say, I think it over and I make my own decisions. They might not always be right, but that’s a learning process».
