Tactics and football principles

Vladan Ivić is trying to convey – as soon as possible – his own philosophy on how the team should function.

10.03.2016

Saturday’s encounter against Panetolikos is a tough and important test and the team must bounce back. The newly-appointed coach of PAOK must prepare his troops for the game, while trying to change the football principles of the team ahead of the rest of the season.

Thursday’s training started with physical condition and explosiveness drills, tactical exercises on deployment from the defence, ball passing, crossing from the flanks and finishing. The session ended with tactical work ahead of Saturday’s encounter.

Dimitar Berbatov, Dimitris Chatziisaias and Dimitris Konstantinidis remained in the gym for physiotherapy, while Gojko Cimirot did jogging on the pitch. Panagiotis Glykos, Jairo and Garry Rodrigues continued their recovery program. As for Giannis Skondras and Eyal Golasa they also remained in the gym, as they complained of pain in the hip and the groin respectively.
