«PAOK have nothing to fear»
He joined PAOK in January, became a regular right from the start, but it’s been a month now that he has been sidelined with injury and he can’t wait to return to action. Dimitris Chatziisaias talked to Novasports TV about the upcoming encounter against Panionios in Nea Smyrni.
On his injury:
«We have worked a lot with the whole medical staff and I am trying to reintegrate the group. I am working as best as I can and I am following all advices to return as soon as possible«.
On how it is to face such an injury for the first time:
«It’s the first injury of my career. I heard what the doctors, coaches and physiotherapists told me and I keep on working«.
On how it affected him:
«I am new to the team and I want to play and show what I can do. Unfortunately this injury happened, but I keep on working«.
On what he missed more during his recovery period:
«Not being with the team, as I trained alone without ball. But everything has gone fine and I keep on«.
On the changes he witnessed in the team after Ivić’s arrival:
«I believe that we play for each other now. Ivić is a very good coach, he has played for PAOK ad knows the team’s mentality. He can help a lot and that was obvious in his first two matches«.
On how the team will be able to top the play-offs:
«I believe that we can make it to the play-offs, despite having some tough games ahead of us. If we are focused, work hard and listen to our coach, we will be fine«.
On the national team:
«Every player dreams of playing for the national team of his country and I am no exception«.
On the preparation work during the international break:
«We worked hard and also were able to rest a bit. I believe we will be ready on Sunday«.
On the Panionios game:
«Panionios is a very good team, with fine players and a good coach. It will be a tough encounter. PAOK have nothing to fear. If we are focused and give it our 100%, I believe we will win«.
