«We are obligated to win”
Vladan Ivić spoke to Novasports TV about the upcoming encounter against Platanias in Perivolia. Here is what the coach of PAOK said:
On Sunday’s encounter:
«It’s a tough away match against a team who have performed very well this season. They play attacking football especially at home. We need to be determined and focused in order to win. We know it won’t be easy. We have to line up yet another good game and add three more points to our tally, in order to make things easier for us«.
On their rivals having no stress to win:
«Not needing the points is definitely an advantage for Platanias. They won’t be under pressure and they will play as Levadiakos did in our previous match. Sometimes that is good. We may have still several players absent, but we will give time on the pitch to players will less appearances. I want to have them all on high alert for the play-offs. We also need to give time to players returning from injury, to show us what we can expect of them«.
On absences and comebacks:
«You know that Vítor is sidelined for this game due to suspension. Leovac has a strain. Chatziisaias is returning, while Cimirot also is slowly making his comeback. Hopefully all players will be available shortly and we will be able to prepare the team as we want«.
On whether he is only thinking about the play-offs:
«No way. I already told the guys that this is our last match in the regular season before the play-offs and we are obligated to put on a fine performance, give it our 100% and win«.
